Cookie Policy
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or application. They may be technically necessary (e.g. to store your language preference) or serve to analyse usage and improve the offering.
The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) does not contain its own concept of cookies. What matters is whether cookies process personal data. As soon as personal data is affected, the obligations of the FADP apply, in particular the transparency obligations under Art. 19 FADP. For ordinary analytics cookies, clear information and the option to object (opt-out) are generally sufficient in Switzerland. Where we rely on consent, it is valid only if given freely and on an informed basis (Art. 6 para. 6 FADP). Where consent is required for the processing of sensitive personal data or for high-risk profiling, it must be given expressly (Art. 6 para. 7 FADP; definitions in Art. 5 lit. f and lit. g FADP).
2. Cookies used
Within api-hub.ch we use only technically necessary cookies:
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| NEXT_LOCALE | Stores the chosen language (German/English) | up to 12 months | Hedinger-Digital (api-hub.ch) |
Technically necessary cookies are required to operate the application and generally cannot be deactivated without limiting functionality.
Reach measurement with Umami runs cookieless on our own infrastructure in Switzerland; no cookies are set for it. Payment takes place on the checkout pages of Stripe, where Stripe may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and secure payment processing. For details, please refer to Stripe's privacy policy.
3. Management and objection
You can manage, restrict, or delete cookies in your browser settings. Guidance can be found in the help section of your browser vendor. Blocking technically necessary cookies may impair the use of api-hub.ch(e.g. your language preference will then not be stored).
4. Reference to the privacy policy
Detailed information on the processing of personal data, recipients, any disclosure abroad, and your rights can be found in the Privacy Policy of api-hub.ch.
